Understanding Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. Unlike normal cells, which grow and divide in a regulated manner, cancer cells lose this control and multiply rapidly, forming tumors that can invade nearby tissues and potentially spread to other parts of the body through the bloodstream or lymphatic system. There are many different types of cancer, each with its own unique characteristics, symptoms, and treatment options.
