Laurie Lowdermilk is responsible for the development and management of the company’s clinical research program. She brings over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry, both in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner and as a director of a large research team.
As a nurse practitioner, Laurie specialized in the field of nephrology, with work in the hospital, office and clinic settings. Her passion has always been providing high quality care to patients whose level of acuity requires nothing less.
Laurie has participated in over one hundred clinical trials as a Sub-Investigator and Director of Research. She worked closely with sponsors and clinical research organizations to help shape high quality studies that delivered the data necessary to bring multiple drugs to the market, improving the health outcomes of patients burdened with chronic kidney disease.
Laurie received her Bachelor of Science degree from Oral Roberts University, and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Barry University in Miami. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
