Poteligeo (mogamulizumab-kpkc)

Poteligeo®

Understanding Poteligeo®

Poteligeo® (mogamulizumab-kpkc) is a prescription medicine indicated for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory mycosis fungoides (MF) or Sézary syndrome (SS) after at least one prior systemic therapy.

Poteligeo® is a CC chemokine receptor type 4 (CCR4)-directed monoclonal antibody administered by intravenous infusion. Mogamulizumab-kpkc is a defucosylated, humanized IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody.

How Poteligeo® Works:

  • Targets CCR4: Poteligeo® contains mogamulizumab-kpkc, a CCR4-directed monoclonal antibody that binds to the CC chemokine receptor type 4 (CCR4).
  • Enhances antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC): In nonclinical studies, binding of mogamulizumab-kpkc to CCR4 enhanced ADCC against CCR4-expressing target cells.

FDA Approval:

Poteligeo® (mogamulizumab-kpkc) received its initial U.S. FDA approval in 2018 for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory mycosis fungoides (MF) or Sézary syndrome (SS) after at least one prior systemic therapy.
